Hello!  My name is Philip Kramer, and I'm the pastor of Norwoodville Baptist Church.  You may not know me very well, so here's a little background about myself.  But first of all, let me personally invite you to our church--there are many people here that would be glad to get to know YOU personally, too.

Here I am, standing on the outskirts of the community of Norwoodville.  God called me to pastor this church in September 2007.  It has been a great learning experience, but God has been good to me personally, and to us as a church.  It's great to see God working in the lives of so many people.  I started attending Norwoodville Baptist Church in the fall of 1999.  I was still enrolled in Faith Baptist Bible College, and I was privileged to do my internship with my good friend, Russ Harris, who was currently serving as an interim pastor for Norwoodville.  Pastor Russ started filling the pulpit here just months before I started attending, with only seven people in his first speaking engagement.  Over the years, God blessed the work here, and He brought more people to Norwoodville.  We saw the attendance climb from the twenties and thirties, to the thirties and forties and beyond.  I served in the church faithfully over the years, first as a layman, then eventually as a deacon.  I remember the many nights that Pastor Harris and I spent canvassing the neighborhood, knocking on doors, inviting people to church and VBS.  And then there were the many Tuesday afternoons that we visited several of our church shut-ins--older widows who were unable to get out to church anymore.  I learned so much during those visits with Pastor Russ.  Eventually I served as an associate Pastor, and then as Pastor.  There is so much that I could say, but there's only so much space and time.  But this is a great church if you truly want to grow in your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, and if you want to be a part of a church that is just like a family.  What do I like to do when I'm not busy preparing for sermons and Bible studies, going on visits, and doing other church-related activities?  sunset2.JPGWell, when I was growing up, I loved to play basketball and baseball, go hiking, and collect baseball cards.  I like to spend time enjoying God's creation, and it's fun to take pictures of those things that give God so much glory and praise.  I hope you enjoy looking at some of these pictures, and I do hope to meet you sometime soon.  Give me a call or email, or even better, come to one of our services or Bible studies.  And most of all, make sure you know for sure where you're going to spend eternity.  You CAN KNOW FOR SURE where you'll spend eternity.  Jesus is the only way to heaven--trust in Him!
